DAYTON (OHIO) DULCIMER CLUB UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
The Buckeye Dulcimer Festival would like to take a moment to mention two upcoming events sponsored by the Dayton Club.  Many Dayton club members have supported Buckeye.  We appreciate it!
Support live music!

FEBRUARY 10 - 12
DULCIMER DOIN'S ... MARIA STEIN, OHIO   (A fun weekend music get-a-way in west central Ohio)

A little information from the Dayton Club website:  Every February things get really exciting around the Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton, because thatís when our annual music retreat, Dulcimer Doinís happens.  We gather at a wonderful venue that becomes an all-music all-the-time retreat for a whole weekend!  The emphasis is on just being together, sharing, relaxing, jamming, laughing, eating and more jamming!!  There will be workshops that are planned ahead, and those that may spontaneously erupt!

For more details, go to the Dulcimer Doin's webpage.      For registration information, click here.
Registration Deadline:  January 31, 2023.

DISCOVERY CLASSES

Buckeye Roadshow's first Discovery Day
in Bucyrus, Ohio is in the history books.

There are now two new clawhammer banjo players, one new hammer dulcimer players and two new mountain dulcimer players.

The schedule included three hours on instruction, first jam, and then an evening jam.

If you've always wanted to play an instrument,
this is your opportunity live and in person.

Check back for our next DISCOVERY CLASS and location within the Buckeye Dulcimer Festival area.

Clawhammer Banjo (Joe)
Hammered Dulcimer (Chris)
Mountain Dulcimer (Shari)

**************************

We'll come your way!

If your group or club would like to sponsor one of these Discovery Days for their local community,
email Chris Steiner

Chris can tailor this event with your local community in mind including featured instruments and
scheduling needs.

It is amazing the number of instruments that are under the bed or hanging on the wall that are begging to be played.

With so many club memberships decreasing, this day could be a great way to spark interest.

WELCOME to zoom jams, Buckeye Dulcimer Festival style.  Join Chris & Joe Steiner and Shari Wolf in jamming our favorite jam tunes from the dulcimer world, old-time music world and bluegrass world.  Music in the jams will all be traditional and from public domain.
No copyrighted music.

These are not beginner jams, BUT beginners ... anyone .... is welcome to join

We'll increase speed as we play through tunes and play singing songs at singing speed.
We'll play tunes more than just a few times.

You'll be able to hear only the three of us during the jam.  We will be muting you during the playing and unmuting
in between tunes for comments.    We hope this will help you to continue to jam even when jamming in person is not possible.  .
